Cardinal Gems of Wisdom

As Gabe approaches his 20th month, he doesn't really stop talking from sun up to sun down. His vocabulary is growing at an astronomical rate. Sometimes he uses some words he doesn't quite understand though. He knows many numbers, but apparently doesn't fully comprehend their meaning:

1. Gabe has taken to saying "one more time" when he wants to do something again. He will also say "one more time" no less than ten times.

2. Recently Gabe met Ben's twin, Guillaume. Erin said to Gabe, "look, there are two Bens" and from then on, anytime he saw Guillaume he'd say "Hi, Two-Ben," or "night-night, Two-Ben."

3. He got a power wheel for Christmas and yesterday he was trying to lug it up some stairs. He was having trouble and said "too heavy." I was impressed until he followed that by "three heavy."

4. When Gabe counts small numbers of items he counts "nine, doo, nine, doo, nine," but when he's going up stairs he'll count up the 14 stairs. Apparently he has to get past 6 before he decides to use the right numbers.

5. Gabe can say the alphabet except for 5 letters which he just conveniently skips. Pretty impressive until in the middle he switches from the alphabet to twinkle twinkle. "A B C D E F G, H I J K L M N O P, up above..."

Eden informed us (several times) that she doesn't want to get old, because she doesn't want to have hair on her butt... The gems will just get better and better over the next several years :)
