A very Taylor weekend

To add to the wonderful weather last weekend, Phil, Amanda, and Jack came for a visit! We had an absolute blast the whole time - of course the visit was too short but we packed it as full as we possibly could. After arriving on Friday, they picked me up at work and after dropping me at my car, we carpooled to Apex. Luckily Mike got home soon enough to finish cleaning the house! We spent the afternoon watching Jack play (toys, drumsticks, kitties, slides), grilled out for dinner, then played Carcassonne. On Saturday they spent the day in VA visiting family. We woke up early, I got some errands done, we watched Niko's team win their final basketball game, then spent time sitting outside and grilling out with Mike, Angela, Adam, Hanna, and the kids (who spent some time here playing the Wii and DS). After dinner, P, A, and J returned and we had another relaxing evening. On Sunday we made breakfast, took a walk around the lake, then drove up to Chapel Hill for Indian buffet with Yash, Sunil, and Ekansh. We would have stayed longer, but decided to leave in time to miss all of the traffic for the UNC-Duke game. After driving past the new Monsanto greenhouse, we returned home and gave Jack a nap while playing some Mexican train. Dinner was fondue (Swiss and Guinness cheddar) followed by a late night of chatting and gaming. Monday morning came way too early (what with staying up late and daylight saving time) - we said a bleary-eyed farewell on the way to work. A sampling of photos are below (more are here).

Last but not least, Amanda's mom made an awesomely soft and fuzzy blanket for Gabe:
