Thanksgiving in the Big D

As Mike already mentioned, we spent Thanksgiving with the family in Dallas this year. We had quite a full house staying with Sam & Diane since Jason, Jennifer, and Alaina were also in town. There was always something going on and not much downtime (but I was able to escape for nap time here and there as needed) between the plethora of delicious food, rousing games of Swap, canasta tournaments, random games with Alaina (not limited to Alaina's restaurant, little pet shop, and hide and seek), scratch-off lottery tickets, and just hanging out. We also attended Wed night Thanksgiving at Tommy's new house, saw Bubbie Jennie twice, celebrated Jason's & Jennifer's marriage with family and friends at a Friday brunch, hung out at the Fenns' house, brainstormed nursery artwork with Carl, took over Java & Cha, played Rock Band at Tommy's house, and had a going away party for Erin at the Fillmore. We managed to see everyone at least once (though we could have spent weeks more catching up with all of them!) and still make time for family.

As an added bonus, it seems that holiday travel is down this year. We didn't have any trouble at airports, even the Sun after Thanksgiving!
