Easter and 11 months old

Since we both had Good Friday off, we decided to make a quick trip out to St. Louis to visit Phil, Amanda, Jack, and Hugh for the weekend. We had such a good time - the boys really enjoyed playing together, we cooked lots of good meals, actually had some time to play a game, visited the St. Louis zoo, ate at the Spaghetti Factory, spent Easter morning playing with the wagons in the circle (alas, we were actually blocked from attending church as it was completely full!), ate cheese and chocolate fondue, and had an Easter egg hunt after dying eggs. It was action-packed but great fun and we can't wait to see everyone again. It's so nice to have some playmates for Gabe!

We also lucked out and were not only able to spend an evening with Auntie Marilyn, Crazy Uncle Cliff, and some of the cousins, but Gabe also got to see Bubbie and Papa who happened to be up visiting from TX. They had a lot of fun, especially playing with bottles of mixers (bad influence! hehe).

Yesterday we celebrated Gabe's 11 month birthday. I can't believe he's almost 1! While we were in MO, Gabe cut another tooth (#5), almost walked (took a step towards Hugh before he realized what was happening and switched to crawling), and learned to say "uh oh."

Finally, speaking of Auntie M, happy birthday to her today!
