Today marks 5 months since Gabe was born. For those of you keeping score, he's 25.5 inches long and 15 lbs. On this momentous occasion, Erin and I took advantage of two free sandwich coupons from Fridays and had a "birthday" dinner for Gabe. He also had a "birthday" dinner of his first vegetable, sweet potato (plus a hearty amount of breast milk). Additionally, as we have said before, he is trying desperately to crawl. Today he chased a ball across the room in a mostly scoot plus a partial crawl (I apologize for the crappy quality iPhone video, but I'd already missed 5 or 6 rolls and scoots and didn't want to miss more finding the video camera).
Also, I don't want to leave you with nothing. Here are a few of the gems I've heard Erin say recently (extra funny out of context):
- "I think Quin's meower is broken."
- "I'm not counting those ducks yet."
- "It's more happeningable."
- "Careful, the sink's full of wet water."

I can't believe how good he's getting at crawling! I love to watch babies try something for the first few times. They're so awkward yet persistent. He's as cute as ever! I had another friend celebrate their baby's 5 month old birthday and indulged on sweet potatoes too. Good southern babies! ;)
He only knocked the ball away one time and then he gently took it. Very goal-oriented and a freaking genius!
