Special building!

Last weekend the weather was beautiful and we celebrated by spending most of the weekend outside. Friday evening I came home to find my Mike, Angela, and the girls all basking in the driveway sunlight. We stayed out until it got dark (and it was time to get Taco Bell). Saturday morning we ran some errands - we got our car seat installations inspected, picked up some more baby essentials, then made lunch. We spent all afternoon outside with the neighbors. It was fun to finally meet Adam & Mike's brother Aaron (wrap your head around that one: how is is that we and the family next door both include a Mike, Adam, and Erin/Aaron?) and his daughter who were in town for a surprise visit. There was some ambiguity though with the kids yelling out such an overlap of names! Saturday evening we played Carcassonne and Settlers with Matt, Kelly, and Jacob. We also grilled out, watched UNC beat Villanova, and ate cake & ice cream. Before they left, we made a plan to finally start a D&D group (only Mike and Jacob have ever actually played before, but we all secretly want to. The podcasts haven't helped!).

This week is going to be insane: UNC basketball tonight (WHEN am I going to catch up on sleep and why can't any of these games start at a reasonable hour?), Passover and then Rick's Criminal Minds episode on Wed, and our Passover extravaganza on Friday. Maybe I'll get some work done in there too (but I can't promise anything).

I've never played D&D, so don't take this as a dig or anything, but I recently watched this, and laughed a lot at this weird, uncomfortable movie:

Mostly cause I'm a nerd (just a different kind) and know lots of other ones...
