It's been a busy week:
Wednesday we celebrated Passover with a seder at the Coopers' house. Mike tutors the two boys and they just love him (who wouldn't) - it was fun to experience another family's traditions - plus they made us feel right at home despite the fact that we were 2 of about 20 guests! We had to ditch out early, though, and rushed home to watch Rick's Criminal Minds episode (first time watching live TV since we got the DVR!). It was pretty amazing seeing his name up on the screen and fun to see the script come to life. Of course it helped that we knew all of the references (and boy did he take every chance he could to throw in those names!) - so proud of you, Rick!
On Friday we had Passover II with our standard group of friends - and again packed 14 people in the kitchen (seated at tables) for dinner. Danny realized his life's dreams of creating "schmores" from kosher marshmallows and chocolate-covered matzo. Granted, the former tasted fishy, but it was still impressive. We also ate a red-sea themed jello (complete with red sea collapse) and were wowed by the kosher treats that people cooked up.
Otherwise, we've been quite busy rearranging the nursery, learning D&D 4th edition (we finally got a group of people who all want to play and we're having a lot of fun nerding out while preparing), practicing poker, and making sure we're ready for Gabe's arrival. We went to the doctor a couple of days ago and everything is completely average - so much so that instead of weekly appointments now, she was happy to see me in 2 weeks. In the meantime, Gabe is making sure that I never forget he's in there - kicking and stretching and getting the hiccups. He's a busy boy already!
There have been lots of birthdays recently: Auntie M, Jeremy (new father to Emma!), Richie, Big Brian, Ann H, and Megan. Hope they were all wonderful :)
And finally some more good news: Phil and Amanda (and Jack) are expecting their second boy in August. We can't wait to meet you, Hugh!
