Erin and I had a very busy weekend. We were supposed to go to Skylar's softball game, but we were kind of behind in the cleaning department and we needed to prep for the gathering we had. It was kind of like a baby shower, but more like a afternoon with our neighbors as a last hurrah before Gabe arrives. We played some Kubb, cooked out (burgers, hot dogs, and chicken with some potato salad, corn, cheese dip from Angela and cupcakes made by Myrah) and then enjoyed the (rather hot actually) weather until the evening at which point we played poker. Erin's first venture at poker and she performed rather admirably, lasting into the final four of ten players. She went out about 2 am and then it was time for bed as we had big plans for Sunday.
We got up early enough to eat something before it was time to go over to Jacob and Jessica's to play some HeroScape. Erin and my and Jacob and Jessica's army quickly decimated each other - Jess torching 6 of our armies with her dragon before I devoured the soul of (took control of) it, at which point Matt and Kelly's army destroyed it before I even got a chance to use it. It was all down hill from there, but a good time was had by all. When we weren't playing, we were eating the excelent food everyone cooked. We got home about 7 and crashed on the couch with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix on in the backgrond.
Also, let me leave you with another gem of wisdom: Today, Erin and I were talking about my work and some of the perks some of the staff were complaining about and Erin said it's like the saying goes "Don't lick a gift horse in the mouth."

This weekend was the first warm-ish sunny weekend Oslo has had this year. We went to the park. I played "Spot the Kubb" and found 3 games being played or set up before the wind got too chilly and we went back inside.
Now it's rainy and overcast.
You know, I'm gonna let E have this one. Horses have GIANT teeth. Don't get your tongue anywhere near that.
