Working on the checklist

Our massive "to do before Gabe arrives" checklist has gotten a little more manageable in the past couple of weeks. In fact, yesterday we nailed down a pediatrician (we were pretty sure we would go with that office and the visit sealed the deal). Other seemingly impossible tasks that are almost finished include life insurance and a will. I must admit, wrapping up some of these items is making Gabe's arrival (7 weeks and 2 days til my due date - not that I'm counting) seem a whole lot less stressful.

In other news, Thumper has gone from mere kicking episodes to some more intense movements. I think it's because he's getting too big for the space - instead of little fists and feet, I feel elbows and knees - and occasionally his head moving around. It definitely feels strange and it's even weirder to watch. We've tried to come up with ways to calm him down, but to no avail. Nobody told me that I wouldn't be getting much sleep before he was born!

It's finally stopped raining for a bit and even though it's not going to be very warm this weekend, I think the sun will have us outside for quite a bit of it.
