Ok, maybe it's just visiting, but I'm enjoying every minute of it. Not only do I get a reprieve from the 6 or 7 long-sleeved maternity shirts that I wear over and over, but we enjoyed some of our favorite warm-weather activities. On Friday night we spent a relaxing evening with Angela and the girls, hanging out and playing card games.
Saturday morning we walked over to the community center for a tense basketball game (since when do games for 7-year-olds come down to a one-point difference and free throws with 3 seconds left??). Niko played really well but unfortunately their team lost by 1. Next we took care of some errands. We spent the afternoon outside watching all of the kids draw with 3-D chalk in the driveway and playing with Misty. Then we enjoyed a BBQ feast (running next door a couple of times to cook up some deviled eggs and chocolate chip cookie bars) of about 5 different meats and veggies grilled next door. We watched UNC win, played Mortal Kombat, hung out, Mike played some poker, we rocked out on Guitar Hero with the kids, and still made it home to crash by about midnight.
On Sunday we relaxed, took a nice walk, took care of some chores at home, and made some tasty Orange Julius recreations thanks to a recipe from Alton Brown.
Happy birthday to Adam G and Eden yesterday and to Paul today

It snowed here early this morning, apparently. Also, on my drive home from Best Buy, it was hailing, raining, and snowing all at once.
I love my new city.
I know how you feel - we've had some lovely days. We were outside all weekend in Memphis and even here yesterday Jack and I were outside running around. But today - the forecast - snow :-(. Spring, what a tease!
I must say - there are things I miss about the midwest but winter is not one of them. I think the south half of the country is where I belong!
