Ultrasonic

We had our ultrasound appointment today and found out two very important bits of information. 1 - there aren't twins in there and 2 - we're having a boy! Now we can stop referring to "it" or "him or her" and start calling him Gabriel.

The appointment clocked in at about an hour and we got to see his head, feet, hands, heart - including all four chambers pumping away at 144 bpm, kidneys, mouth already trying to suck his thumb and as the tech so tactfully put it "boy parts." Other then that Gabe was being uncooperative and wouldn't turn over so we could check out his spine, everything looked good. He weighed in at about 10 oz.

I will say this - people say Tom Cruise is crazy and I agree on most points, but after today I can understand why he bought an ultrasound machine for his home. I'd happily spend some time every day watching Gabriel in the womb.
