Whoa Doc, That's Heavy

Today was doctor visit number two, and aside from once again hearing the 150 bpm gallop that is Baby Friedman's heart beat, the only news is that Erin has gained a whole two pounds (a half pound of which is baby). I find that incredible as in the last month I've seen her do things like wolf down an entire pizza and an hour later, ask what's for dinner.

Other than that, things are nice and quiet in Apex. Fall is here and that means random weather from 70's on Saturday where we had the doors open all day to 30 which is the low this evening. We might even see some flurries tonight.

The weather just gives us another excuse to stay indoors and play Guitar Hero World Tour, which we broke down and bought yesterday as an early Chirstmas present to each other and so we could share it this weekend with some friends.

P.S. - For those of you wondering, I thouroughly enjoyed Anathem by Neil Stephenson (I couldn't put it down and read the 900 pages in two weeks as it was checked out from the library), but I may shy away from recommending it as unless you are like me and enjoying thinking about thinking and math and multiple universes along with figuing out a whole glossary of made up words, it might be a bit much for you.

Now my mouth is watering for California Pizza Kitchen... :-(

Rumor is that we're having pizza for lunch (a big deal, since every other day is the same salad and cold sandwiches), but it's just not going to measure up to CPK!

So Anathem is just like any other Neal Stephenson book, then? Close to the ramblings of Snow Crash?

Anathem is like Snow Crash, but instead of being about technology, it's about thought - I loved it, but... I'm weird.
